- Global Internet
The Problem: A financial services organization with ten plus national offices was looking to reduce its reliance on high cost MPLS circuits and improve the resiliency of their WAN environment. Of importance was the quality of VOIP traffic and the ability of business-critical voice to perform well, regardless of the conditions of the underlying network. Additional critical use cases were the need to standardize configurations at each location and to quickly deploy new sites.
The Solution: Point5 worked with the customer on a full SD-WAN requirements analysis to understand the working environment and the needs for optimization, traffic direction, business application intent, and site profiles. Once the analysis and conceptual design were completed, a platform evaluation was undertaken to match the use cases with leading solutions. A competitive matrix model was developed and the best fit was selected for a Proof of Concept. After a successful POC, Point5 assisted with the detailed design and implementation to all sites, building an overlay network on top of existing Internet and new Internet circuits that Point5 sourced as MPLS replacements. After production insertion and testing, the result was a lower cost WAN with increased resiliency, capable of directing high priority traffic including voice over the best performing of their dual Internet links.
The Problem: An enterprise software company with over 30 national and global locations wanted to single source Internet at all sites in order to have one billing entity and a single point of contact, limiting the account management churn often associated with carriers. Consolidating Internet would also help reduce budget considerations as most large providers charge a premium and cannot always take advantage of lower cost regional access.
The Solution: Point5 utilized its experience sourcing Internet connectivity in difficult to navigate countries such as India, Japan, and China to acquire and deliver multiple diverse Internet circuits at each location at a reasonable cost. Point5’s service delivery team managed the entire delivery and turn-up life cycle to ensure success and to insulate the end customer from the common process issues in challenging regions. Billing for all services is done on a single, user-friendly invoice. The customer Internet is monitored 24/7 for technical issues and Point5 manages all carrier escalations and customer communication.
The Problem: A commercial real estate company with decentralized operations and over 50 locations in North America was seeking to standardize communications systems and create a rapid deployment model while reducing costs. With decentralized operations it was important to replace costly, disparate legacy systems with a system that could be efficiently rolled out and simple to use, while still providing an advanced communications feature set.
The Solution: Using the customers’ requirements as a guideline, Point5 helped evaluate and select a UCaaS provider from the industry leading platforms. A Cloud based system was selected as the final solution to provide phone system administration, call management, collaboration tools, and quality user/caller experience without the cost and support staff needed for outdated PBX hardware. Point5 assisted with the negotiation and delivery of the platform at each location and sourced additional Internet connectivity where applicable to ensure available bandwidth would meet the system needs. Point5 provided site by site post implementation support to monitor the performance and end user satisfaction of new installs and took corrective measures to resolve any operational issues.
